Kazak youth sees China as a major opportunity for young entrepreneurs

Daulet Zhalgasuly, a young entrepreneur from Kazakhstan, first visited China in 2010 and later studied Chinese at Xinjiang University. Beginning with pinyin, he has now mastered approximately seven thousand Chinese characters. As a youth delegate to the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Youth Campus, he found the experience immensely rewarding, gaining a broader perspective on global dynamics through the Chinese context.

"It's a big chance for us young entrepreneurs from all over the world!" he said.

The 2025 SCO Youth Campus, held from November 5 to 12, carried the theme "Empowering Youth With Digital Skills: Creating New Impetus for SCO Development." The event took place across Qingdao and Jinan in Shandong province, as well as Urumqi in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.
