International students witness rural vitalization in Ningxia village
More than 40 international students from the School of International Education at Ningxia Medical University visited Haoyuan village in Zhenbeibao town of Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, on Friday to experience the progress of China's rural vitalization firsthand.
During the visit, the students toured expansive flower and vegetable gardens that integrate agriculture, culture, and tourism. Surrounded by the vibrant rural landscape, they gained a closer understanding of the new look and growing vitality brought by rural development initiatives.
At the village history museum, they listened to stories of the village's transformation through old and new photographs depicting the dramatic changes that have taken place over the years.
"We could clearly see the difference between the old photos and the new ones, so I can really feel the huge changes in Haoyuan village," said Daniel Thawng, a medical student from Myanmar.
Rabail Malik, a student from Pakistan, described the visit as a great experience and said she was happy to study in China. China has created income opportunities for many people, and it is very positive to see the country continuing to develop well, she said.
A new education base for international students to learn about China was officially unveiled during the event.
