Increased rainfall, reservoir discharge turn Hukou Waterfall into spectacle

Due to increased rainfall in the upper reaches and regulated water discharge from reservoirs, the Hukou Waterfall, which straddles Jixian county, Shanxi province, and Yichuan county, Shaanxi province, has recently entered its flood season.

The main and secondary waterfalls merge into a continuous stretch, forming a magnificent grouping of waterfalls. This unique spectacle draws large numbers of tourists who stop to admire the view.
